South Carolina Artists
South Carolina Artists
Ages 16-99 | 4-6pm | An Exploration of SC Artists and recreation of their styles!
description
An exploration of South Carolina artists. Each week will study one artist and recreate their style through different mediums. This is an intermediate course and may need participants to provide some minor supplies. This class will showcase and examine the works of SC artists. Through this eight-week course we will study one artist each week and recreate a small 8x10 of either their work or the style of their work. We will hopefully not only walk away with a greater understanding of the talent in SC but also have a greater understanding of what works for us as an artist. So whether you are a seasoned artist wanting to loosen up and expand or fairly new to painting and in search of your style, this class will absolutely broaden your horizons. Supply list: Students are encouraged to bring their own paints, oil or acrylic. If you are new to painting Jerrys is a good place to buy supplies online https://www.jerrysartarama.com. 8x10 canvases, at least 3 brushes sizes 4,8,10 in either a filbert or flat. Acrylic paint. Starter kits are fine if you don’t have any paints. Liquitex is a good brand to start off with.
