In this hands-on beginner class at Spartanburg Art Museum, students will be introduced to the foundational techniques of stained glass, including cutting glass in straight and curved lines, grinding and cleaning edges, copper foiling, and soldering. Participants will explore a range of tools designed specifically for glasswork and gain confidence through guided practice and demonstration. To ensure a successful and satisfying experience, students will work with both practice glass and a set of pre-cut pieces, allowing everyone to complete and take home a
finished project. No prior experience is required—this class is designed for curious beginners who want to learn the basics in a supportive, well-paced studio environment.
