This advanced course will teach participants how to take a 3D model and optimize it for 3D printing.

Participants will learn to split a model for 3D printing on a filament printer, and key the pieces to aid in assembly, fit, and finish. The models will be printed, assembled, sanded, painted and finished to a professional looking appearance. Participants should have a general working knowledge of 3D printing, and will be instructed in how to best prepare a model for optimal strength, surface finish, and minimal supports.
