This will be a hands-on workshop which will introduce the participants to the basics of printing with a 3D filament printer. The course will cover the setup and maintenance of a 3D printer, safe operation of the printer from start to finish, from preparing a digital model for printing to producing a finished physical object. Participants will learn about the different materials used for printing, setup of the machine, using slicing software for preparing the digital models for printing, troubleshooting, and safe operation of the equipment with hands on experience.

This class will not meet the week of Thanksgiving.

Directions: The 2D studio is located upstairs above the ballet studio. The elevator is located at the back of the downstairs hallway, and stairs to upstairs are located to the left of the entrance.

cancellation policy

If we do not meet minimum registration, class will be cancelled and students will be given a full refund. If registration occurred through our website, refunds will be issued through PayPal minus a small PayPal administration fee. Otherwise, a check will be mailed to you in approximately two weeks.

​If a student has to withdraw from a class five or more working days before the class is scheduled to begin, a refund will be issued minus a SAM $20 administrative fee. If a student withdraws from a class five working days or less before a class is scheduled to begin, the class fee will not be refunded.
