art school course proposals

Art School instructors here at the Spartanburg Art Museum include both professional artists and art educators.
​

Instructors should possess strong technical abilities in their area of expertise, some teaching experience, good verbal and written communication, organizational skills, patient and positive attitudes and the ability to work with diverse students.

 

To be considered for a contracted Art School Instructor position, please submit an email to Kathleen Digney, Art School Coordinator at kdigney@spartanarts.org and include a current resume or CV (including any relevant teaching info.), artist bio, 2-3 high resolution images of artwork, links to artist website if applicable, and completed Course Proposal form(s).

We will review your information and contact you if further information is needed or if we want to include your proposed class(es)/workshop(s) as part of our class offerings.

Deadline for spring session (March – May) is January 1 2019

Deadline for summer session (June – August) is April 1 2019

Deadline for fall session (September – November) is July 1 2019

Deadline for winter session (December – February) is October 1 2019
