Spartanburg
Art Museum wants to keep visitors coming back by offering them more
than just pretty pictures. The centerpiece in this collection of
treasures at the Spartanburg Art Museum is "Girl With Red Hair"
by Robert Henri. The museum features an international flavor, yet
focuses on the works of local artists or those with a Spartanburg

Art
is meant to inspire and this Wooden Indian is based on a 1937 Chief

is the work of James Evans of Iva, South Carolina. James is an artist,
craftsman and creative genius who, not so strangely, thinks differently
from mainstream artists and sculptors. |

at the Spartanburg County Museum of Art. These
works of art look like paintings from a distance, but closer inspection
shows viewers that they are actually fabric wall hangings. |
